Taking a break from the midterm madness, Patricia and I decided to go check out the Ice Castles at Hawrelak Park here in Edy. Running from January to March, this spectacular man-made structure is open to the public and offers a perfect opportunity to catch up with an old friend or to have a family outing. Great for date nights too. In the evening, the castle is lit internally giving colour to the ice, which unfortunately I hadn't had a chance to see yet. But in our case, visiting the castles was a great way to keep our sanity in check during exams. Check out Pat here: http://patriciamdoiron.com/. The castles are open 7 days a week with entry prices varying from $10-$20 depending on age and way of purchase. Hint: get your tickets online, they're cheaper ;) The castles include two slides made of ice, so bring your snow pants and give it a go!
Till next time,
